About: Bmi - The Priory Hospital

Reading the other reviews here makes me question if they were at the same Hospital as me because my visit was excellent and like being treated by distant family eager to make a good impression. My stay was to be be overnight and then off in the afternoon during all this time I was treated kindly with respect and anything I never understood was explained in detail and everyone was always checking if I was ok or needed anything. From being led to my room by the Porter who stuck up delightful small chat and a laugh regarding an address issue to the little things like the nurse always remembering how I liked my tea and making sure I was ok as they could tell I was anxious about my situation. A Med Student/Junior was also very reassuring early on once again talking to me like a human being while doing their duties and also correctly not cutting corners (there was small issues they could of dealt with but strictly stated a superior would need to cross the T's n I's etc) It was good to hear this. All senior staff were professional. The facility was clean and again as you can tell staff were brilliant. The food was delicious with a decent variety I was actually chuffed when it was suggested I might as well stay for lunch before leaving the next day for an extra tuck in ha! My procedure went well and all paperwork along the way and questions were on point it was quite daunting being asked certain questions again and again such as My Name and Allergies at every step but then again think of the horror if they did not I would be more worried. My Dr and the team surrounding this op and all nurses who basically knew were very kind and understanding cause it was quite an embarrassing issue but they put me at ease. I don't doubt some people may of had a bad experience but to me no word of a lie it was bliss oh and the wifi was pretty darn good from my room and most of the facility which was a god send. I will note however my room had air conditioning and I noticed some nurses always commenting about it how it was nice (and it was) so perhaps complaints about the other patient rooms needing AC too would be valid cause this surely helped me. There was no "rush out" for me either if anything everyone was making sure I was 100% ok before being ready to leave and if I needed more time. This I mentally noted as they could of just rushed me out much earlier. In short my well being was put first before moving onto the next patient. I will also be upfront in stating I paid full for my stay well before hand which covered everything so whether that affected treatment I don't know but I'd like to think not. Well spent money regardless to me. Not much else to say really I would recommend The Priory Hospital again and again.
