"Treated very well."

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

I arrived for my Colonoscopy procedure very nervous, the nurse who booked me in was very kind answering any of my questions and helped put me at ease. Going through to the room where the procedure was being carried out was scary at first but the nurses and the doctor soon had me relaxed. I opted for gas and air pain relief, I was glad that I did. Most of the procedure was a bit uncomfortable but a few times the pain was severe and this is where the gas and air worked wonders afew really hard in and outs of the mouthpiece and the pain receded. After Iwas taken into the recovery room and offered a drink and biscuits because I had gas and air there were no side effects and after about 30 minutes was allowed to get dressed. The discharge nurse went through everything I needed to know and ansewerd all my queries I was treated with dignity and respect at all times during my stay in the Endoscopy department and would not hesitate in returning.

Hello

Thank you for sharing your experience in the Gastroenterology Department.

It is good to hear that the Staff were able to put you at ease in a situation that understandably could be stressful.

I will make sure that your kind comments are passed onto the team involved in your care. They will be pleased to know that they were able to positively contribute to your experience.

Thank you once again

Andrew
