"Professionalism of nurses at A&E?"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

My partner was admitted to A&E today feeling poorly. He had a stroke in December 2014. The nurse who cared for him immediately told him it looked like a stroke distressing him greatly. Next thing this member of staff said was - eat 8 eggs a day and in two months you will be better. We were so shocked we first thought it was a poor joke. Further interaction showed it clearly wasn't. I would refrain from any further comments.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is concerned to read your comments with regard to your partner's experience in A & E at Charing Cross. It is important that we are able to identify the staff member involved and investigate. To facilitate this we hope you will contact our PALS team to provide your partner's details pals@imperial.nhs.uk
