After a 999 call within ten minutes an ambulance arrived.The paramedics decided to take my mother (88 years old) to lister. She was admitted to the resus ward. With the results of various tests and a few hours observation she was allowed home on the understanding of returning the following day to be assessed by the ita unit. The resus dept is a great asset to patient care . My mother's assessment under the control of the ita unit was superb, I defy anywhere to do better! All the staff I met were a pleasure to meet. The NHS at its very best. Well done Lister Hospital.
