"Labour ward"

About: St Peter's Hospital (Chertsey)

I decided to delivery my baby into this hospital because of reviews which I had read and excellent care but for me was everything opposite. I am lucky because I was strong and my baby came quick otherwise I don't know how it could finish. I was asking about epidural so many times but the midwife didn't care, they said contractions is not so strong and then said I can go home but I said I am sure I will back soon and I was lucky because I didn't listen to them and I was staying in corridor. When contractions came very strong I had to stay in corridor because labour ward was not ready and when I got there my baby started to come. I asked for epidural but they said it's too late but when I asked before they said it's too early. When I had first child I was treated well in different hospital. After this experience I understand that I can't trust reviews about hospitals.

We are very sorry to hear that your labour and birth experience with us was not what you hoped for. As every labour is so different, it is difficult to comment further without all the information. However, I would very much welcome the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your experiences in more detail. If you would like to do so please contact me directly on 01932 723868.
