"Appointment availabilty"

About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital

Had to wait 14 weeks for an appointment with the gynaecology department and now have to wait 16 weeks for the follow up appointment. I have been recommended for IVF and the receptionist suggested I try booking through them. When I did that they told me to go back to the gynae appointment. Why do I need to when I am having IVF? Booked a scan via IVF clinic for 2 weeks time. They seem have a lot of availability. The consultant doesn't seem to realise how long you have to wait for appointments. On both occasions the doctor said a few weeks. Not months. A complete disconnect between clinic and reception, not happy with service. Just to mention also that we initially had our first appointment in October 2014 and was told that it would take 3 months from start to finish.
