"Snappy staff"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

Came on to SSSU after an operation, and after 30 odd hours had a few snappy nurses, ask for something simple and get snapped at and made to feel like you are an inconvenience. Also, nurse would ask me questions but not relay the answers correctly to others and therefore making you repeat the same thing so many times to other staff. Not read notes properly and then make you feel like a hypochondriac, as in more pain than expected due to having had more surgery than anticipated. Did have a few lovely nurses but the above ones stick in my mind more for making my stay feel stressed and unwelcome at times

I am sorry to read of your experience on SSSU. I will send your comments to the surgery department so that senior nurses are aware of your comments. I am sorry that on this occasion communication was not of the high standard we expect. Thank you for your feedback and I hope you are recovering well.
