"I'd like to have a carer back"

About: North Ayrshire Council - Irvine, Garnock Valley and Community Alarm

(as a service user),

I used to have a carer for 3 hours, 3 times each week that was arranged by my social worker. I got out the house and they took me places in the car. My daughter stopped it as it was too expensive.

I don't get out now and don't get enough exercise. I'm diabetic and have a problem with my eyesight and I'm missing some toes so I have a problem with balance. The village where I live has no buses and no pavements. I feel very isolated.

I get to Age Concern lunch club twice a week but the rest of the time I'm sitting alone at home even though I live with my daughter. I'd like to have a carer back.

Good evening juliusjulius

I am sorry to hear that you no longer have a carer and are now feeling isolated within your village.

Can I please request that you contact me on the number detailed below if you would like me to request a further assessment on your behalf to ensure your needs are better met.

Kind regards

Louise Davidson (01294 310222)
