"Visited 3 times in 8 days - all good"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

I had an emergency consultation and a follow-up operation 4 days later, then another rushed through appointment to check the dressing after I noticed bleeding. Every single member of staff I encountered could not have been more helpful or caring. This was for a relatively minor operation to repair a damaged nerve in my finger. I must have spoken face-to-face with at least 12 staff members both on reception in area 5 and in the plastic trauma unit and they were absolutely fantastic with me. I did not have to wait ridiculously long periods, was offered hot drinks when waiting for my op, and was treated as a human being, rather than just a number. Lovely, friendly staff who collectively put me at ease in my first op for 35 years - they are an absolute credit to the hospital.
