"shocking."

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

My dad came here after getting knocked off his bike by a black cab , he was in a pretty bad way with broken ribs and plevis , broken leg , both arms broke but one is worse then the other one the one they say will take three hours todo even tho his arm and elbow will never work the same again . I've sat here days on end to listen to them tell my dad his op as been cancelled not once or twice but five times now and the reasons they have give us is shocking like the fact he can't have it done becoz the doctor who is doing it is too tired todo it today or it was they haven't got the equipment todo it but if I was todo a job I would make sure I had everything I need todo that job ! This mri is a joke I'm ashamed to even say I was born here , and not to mention that I've look after my dad since he as been here and done there job for them the lack of care is disgusting in here and all I want is for them todo there job right and treat people with the same care as if it was there mum or dad

We were very sorry to receive your comments and concerns via the NHS Choices / Patient Opinion website regarding your father’s experience the Emergency Surgical Trauma Unit (ESTU) at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

In order for us to be able to respond accurately and in more detail, we need to investigate your father’s experience specifically to understand why his operation was cancelled, we would need more of his personal details and his consent to investigate these concerns.

We take all issues surrounding patient care very seriously and would very much like to hear from you directly about your father’s experience. If you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@cmft.nhs.uk they will discuss this with you.
