"Appointments"

About: Churchill Hospital

I booked an appointment for Pain Relief Unit (PFU) on 15 June 2015 using chooseandbook and was given an appointment of 7 July 2015. This was followed up by hard copy letter dated 16 June 2015 confirming my booking. Today 29 June 2015 have received letter from PFU giving me another appointment on 21 Sep 2015. I contacted the PFU by telephone and was told they had cancelled my 7 July appointment, because of staff non availability. I was not satisfied with the date and was told that it was the first available. This means that patients who booked after me, will get seen before me. I asked for a new date in Mid July and was informed there were none available and PFU could not get me in to them earlier than 21 September and that now they were booking for OCtober. This is a crazy system, where I am penalised for an action not of my making. I need an early appointment .as I am in pain and discomfort from my cancer of the oesophagus operation.
