I was admitted into Ward 3 of Hexham General Hospital on 12th June 2015 for Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. Initially I was to be admitted as a day patient, but due to a difficult procedure, I needed to stay in overnight and was allowed home the following evening. I would like to thank all the Staff in the hospital, especially my consultant who carried out the procedure, and also the Anaesthetist who looked after me from the time I arrived on the Ward then went into Theatre for the procedure. Having never had any sort of operation previous to this, I was very nervous. Everyone kept me well informed and up to date about what was happening and I was treated with utmost respect and care throughout. Please also say thank you to all the Staff on Ward 3 who cared for me over that weekend. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hospital to others.
