"Getting well again."

This department is extremely well run, without it, it would mean people receiving on going treatment would need to stay over night in hospital, as opposed to being able to rest and recover in the comfort of their own home whilst visiting once, perhaps twice a day to receive the medical care they require. The staff were all incredibly helpful. The other nurses who work in the center were kind beyond words. All of these staff work intensely hard to ensure the people who are being treated for various illnesses are given the best care possible. Not once was i made to feel anything except secure in the knowledge that i was in extremely capable hands. My reasons for being admitted to the AEC center had made me quite sick and i needed to be treated via IV antibiotics for an extended period of time between late December and early February. From arriving at AEC and being examined to finding out what was causing me to be sick, to ascertaining the correct antibiotics required in order to treat what was wrong, was all relatively smooth. There were instances during my time visiting AEC where i was quite low and feeling very uncomfortable and generally awful, but the people who work in AEC really made it a lot easier to deal with. I am incredibly grateful that i was lucky enough to be able to take advantage of this department. The swift diagnosis, the treatment itself, the follow up appointments, everything was very thorough and i feel utterly blessed to have been fixed so well and so quickly.
