"This is an excellent Hospital"

I was admitted to Cherry Ward from A and E and received courtious and efficient care from the time I was put in the ambulance until my discharge from Ash Ward 10 days later. The areas were spotlessly clean and the care staff marvellous. I was surprised how often floors, rails, cabinets and everything else were cleaned. The food was pretty good too and catered for all tastes/diets. The staff work so hard and sometimes under difficult circumstances. I think that some patients should realise that the care assistants/nurses are not their personal maids and that they (some of the patients) are not in a 5 star hotel with a load of lackeys running after them at their command. The senior nursing staff did a fantastic job of managing most expectations. The Doctors were fantastic and kept me informed daily on what was happening etc. They were not patronising and always had time to answer questions.
