I attended UCLH A&E on 29th June with a burn injury. The doctor I saw - Kieran (not sure of surname) was calm, professional, thorough and treated me with respect throughout my stay. I was offered pain relief, the injury was treated and dressed and follow up arranged for the same day with the burns unit. I saw a consultant, another doctor and several nurses as well and they were all professional and helpful. I've had bad experiences in hospital in the past, and it's difficult for me to remain in the A&E department. On this occasion I stayed much longer than I often am able to and the staff did everything they could to help. If there is a way of thanking the doctor, and others who treated me I'd appreciate that. My previous history is complicated and not easy to resolve in an Emergency Department visit, and I'm not from the London area but was visiting which made the situation more complicated, but the doctor spent time assessing my injury, understanding the medical history, and liaising with several other teams arranging follow up care. They could not have been more helpful.
