About: Queen Mary's Hospital (Sidcup)

I feel the appointment system should be explained to patients before they arrive at the hospital. my daughter and I arrived for the 12 .30 appointment, and were still waiting at 1.30 having been told we had to wait for 2.30. This system is all wrong when you think of the time it takes for people who have to travel to the hospital, and their commitments to other necessities of their day, such as my daughter who has children to pick up from school. My daughter managed to get this sorted and we were seen before the said time, but because of an issue with my treatment I couldn't have the operation I was waiting for that day. Taking into consideration my daughter had managed to get the day of work to be with me, now I have to wait until I get another appointment which will entail further disadvantages. I feel so let down, and unnecessary anxiety Regards Pamela Wickens
