Currently I am in A&E with my 34 week pregnant daughter who was sent her by her doctor because of an abscess. it has been agreed by all who have examined her that it should be drained as the oral antibiotics had not worked. We understand that there are more urgent cases than my daughters abscess and quite rightly should be seen first. However, over 7 hours later we are still waiting and what hasn't helped is that 3 hours after a drip was set up to hydrate her we discovered it hadn't been switched on. Frustration is starting to set in. The staff have been very busy, very attentive when attending my daughter. No problems there.
