"Hip replacement."

The whole experience took away any anxiety starting with my initial consultation with the consultant who was extremely courteous, kind and of course professional. It was a pleasant room with friendly staff who were always on hand. An epidural was a relief for me as I suffer from sickness following a general anaesthetic. Staff were extremely vigilant during the recovery period in the HDU before you're taken to your room. The physio staff were very kind and supportive from the initial appointment, to the care on the ward and aftercare once you have left the hospital. I had more movement much quicker than I had from a previous hip replacement in an NHS hospital - e.g. getting in and out if bed. The consultant was readily available in case of any concerns and the barrier that sometimes exists with some consultants was non existent. They were friendly and accessible. The operation was a great success. I am without pain and getting back to a normal life. I can't recommend it enough and feel blessed to have had the opportunity to go to Goring Hall.
