"NHS at its best"

having had quite a lot of dealings with different wards at the GW hospital I can only comment that expect time the staff have worked extremely professionally and in a caring manner. This was hilighted for me when my 87 year old father was admitted with COPD and various other issues. He was always treated with dignity and never made to feel a nuisance, the staff on each ward were very caring and made sure he was dealt with compassion. As a family we were all updated as to his health and told exactly what his treatment would be. Sadly my father passed away in 2013 but he for one could only praise the GW for how they treated him. More recently my mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer, which thankfully is treatable. The staff at the breast clinic were amazing, each and everyone of the nurses were incredibly reassuring to us, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Great Western for giving us the NHS treatment above and beyond. You are all worth your weight in gold and should be thanked more often fornthenwork that you do. I am thankful I live in Wiltshire and have use of the GW.
