"Good maternity care overall"

About: Birmingham Women's Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I delivered my baby in March 2015 and had an enjoyable experience overall. There were some elements that could have been better, mainly communication between shifts/departments.

Every individual I encountered was kind and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and offer to help. Antenatal care was thorough and I felt informed about processes that would happen (planned section).

I also used neonatal services for some time and again very caring staff albeit it some communication issues at times. Catering and housekeeping staff were lovely... always ready with a cup of tea, a smile and a kind word. I looked forward to seeing them!

Overall I would happily recommend and return should I need to. Thank you to all x

Dear Miss King,

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback about your experience as it's great to hear you had a positive one. Your comments will be shared by the Maternity and Neonatal Teams at the hospital and we will take on board your comments about communication.

The opinions of those who use our services provide a valuable insight into the patient care we provide and so we are very grateful for all feedback.

With best wishes,
