"First class treatment"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

Visited today following a fall from the top of a farm gate. Walk in so clearly not seriously hurt but was still checked in quickly, waiting time to see nurse about half of what was displayed, referred to doctor, also short wait. All staff pleasant, friendly and explained everything to me. No serious injuries apart from a nasty set of bruised ribs and a cut head so able to go home. I was a bit worried that I was wasting NHS time as I could tell I hadn't broken anything but was reassured at all stages that I'd done the right thing in being checked over. Thanks to all staff ... very good all round.

First of all I'm glad to read that you weren't seriously hurt! I'm dropping you a line to say thanks for the post and to let you know that I will pass it on to staff as they don't often have the time to respond direct. I'm pleased that your experiences were good and that you were soon on you way back home. Best wishes Sarah Turner-Saint, head of communications
