What I liked
getting out of there, after 2 weeks of seeming to be ignored and treated like i was in the way
Cant fault the neo natel ward they were excellent always happy to help and friendly and you could tell they worked as a team.
What could be improved
some staff attitude was appauling.
The food was horrible microwavemeals and meal times i often had to miss a meal as i was feeding my baby or he was screaming, did not feel right leaving him on his own whilst i went to eat.
This was the most horrible experience of my life, its left me scared of having enougher baby. I had complications during labour and outside my door the doctors and midwifes were arguing amongst themselfs about what to do which did not exactly feel me with confidence and finally having to be rushed off for an emergency C section. Then i was told i was having a blood transfusion to later hear the midwife and doctor taking a guess at how much blood i had lost as they could not remember.
Atfer the birth i was left in a bed for over a week without the sheets being cleaned it still had blood on it.
When my baby was let up from neo natel, the midwife informed me that they dont know alot about premature babies which later resulted in my baby being taken back down to neo natal having lost a considerable amount of it body weight, even though i had been telling the midwifes that somthing was wrong for days, they just appeared to not listen, i had to demand to see a pediatrion.
The lack of team work and communications was appaling.
What is supposed to be the most happy time of your life was over shadowed by silly errors. But again the neo natal ward were most supportive felt like i was in good hands.
