"could have been dead"

About: South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Cardiology

(as the patient),

Woke up 7 Sunday morning, felt good, went downstairs for a cuppa, got cup suddenly felt weird fell down, crawled upstairs to bedroom told my better half that I felt seriously bad, fell on floor massive pain in left arm, started pouring with sweat, left arm now going yellow, fighting. For breath.

Luckily kids brilliant, rang ambulance people who came really fast

Felt sorry for them as they were trying to help but I was not helping as panicking trying to breath and get up.

They took me to William Harvey hospital into a an e.

The team there got stuck in and put in 3stents

Woke up in ICU Cambridge ward felt great again.

Have to say giant thank you to ambulance people, the team in a an e and everybody on Cambridge from doctors, nurses, cleaners, tea lady, they were all brilliant, really friendly and incredibly helpful

What a fantastic credit your staff are to your hospital

Can't give you enough thanks. For giving me another life

Dear 2nd chance

Firstly, thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback about South East Coast Ambulance Service. This must have been a really frightening experience for you and your family and it does mean a lot to our staff to receive praise from patients and relatives about the service they provide. If you have time and would like me to pass your thanks to the individual crews concerned, please email to advise me of the date and the address at which they attended you, and I would be pleased to do that; my email address is louise.hutchinson@secamb.nhs.uk

I was so pleased to hear that the NHS served you well when you needed it, and hope you continue to make a great recovery.

With thanks and best wishes, Louise
