(as a parent/guardian),

I have been using the sure start centre for 6 years with my two son's. When my youngest son was not developing his speech at a normal rate I spoke to the staff with my concerns and they were very helpful with putting me in touch with the right people, referring us to various courses such as home talk and supporting me with my concerns. The children's workers have also been very good in engaging with Liam listening to him even though they cannot understand him and talking back to him.

Hi Geme,

Thanks for this posting, I'm glad you have benefitted from using the Children's Centre and hope you will continue to do so.

A key area that we focus on within the Children's Centres is around Speech and Language and recognise that the ability to communicate and be understood is essential to a child's development. Hopefully, now you have utilised some of the services on offer your child will reap the benefits of this.

Finally, the staff team really value your comments and it is feedback like this that helps staff to know that they are providing the right kind of service.
