"Visit to consultant with my father"

I have just returned home after going to see a consultant with my father. The staff were so lovely to us especially to my dad who is 89. The consultant did not give us good news but explained the situation fully ensuring we understood. They then asked if we had any questions which we had and they happy to answer. Advising us a biopsy would be required and maybe a major op he then arranged for pre op assessment tests to be done there and then. A nurse took us to a different department for this, they as all other staff were extremely friendly explaining we may have awhile to wait, told us where to get coffees. We then saw a Sister for the assessment they were lovely. I live in Herefordshire and could not believe the difference in staff attitude between the two counties. No one could have done more to help us today and I am extremely grateful to all staff. This hospital was clean and appeared to run in a very efficient manner. Mrs. Taylor
