"Positive Experience (Hysterectomy)"

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral oopherectomy on 18th of June in Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield. The experience was positive at every level. Diagnosis of fibroids carried out quickly and efficiently by the excellent gynecologist. Was admitted for surgery and all the staff treated me with care and consideration. All aspects of the procedure were explained to me in great detail and I was able to ask as many questions as I needed to make an informed decision about the expected outcome. The theatre staff were kind and considerate and chatted to me whilst pre-op checks were carried out. I was admitted onto ward 34 following surgery and was very impressed by the care I was given there. Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff and I felt very safe and well looked after at all times. The ward was clean and comfortable and the food was nutritious and well presented. I was discharged on day three and I have continued to make excellent progress at home. I would recommend Pinderfields anyone who is facing similar surgery. I thank everyone involved with my care and I will be eternally grateful for their expertise and kindness. A five star experience. Thank you.
