"The Acer Unit"

About: Drug and alcohol services / Acer Unit, Bristol

(as the patient),

Well I broke the rules. I took mobile in with me. Because I couldn't be arsed to get a mp3 player. Had no intention of phoning a dealer. Also I had few back up diazepam in my pocket. I understood the implications soon as. I was thrown out and I vowed to myself I would stay clean for today and have since.

Been going down dhi in warmley have a couple of pints. But heroin is my primary drug so sometimes abstinence based recovery isn't for everyone reducing my buprenorphine fast because ive been only taking it for 8 days now and filling gap with exercise. Don't want another monkey on my back.

One positive note is I'm off methadone. And enjoying myself outside going to dhi everyday to stay clean. One thing I will say is I couldn't sleep first night so they expect you to stay in your room.

A better understanding of addiction issues and withdrawal would be better tolerated by me in my opinion. I know they try there best but I was like a rabbit in the headlights detoxing of methadone. Also I will not take zopiclone can't bear going around like a zombie next morning. I suppose they try there best. Nice group of people in there also so I was lucky. Alcohol I'm drinking in extreme moderation and I won't be complacent different strokes for different folks. Anyway enough said still clean for today.
