What I liked
My 8 year old daughter had her tonsils removed at our local hospital on 5th october. Although everything went well and she was eating and drinking as she was supposed to following surgery she suffered a large bleed on day 4. After rushing her to our local A&E she needed a line put into her hand and as it wasnt properly numb she could feel pain and consequently passed out. The line pulled out of her hand when she passed out and blood was everywhere. All very allarming for me and her dad and very frightening for a young child. We was put in an ambulance and rushed to Broomfield hospital where she stayed on ward B22 Moonbeam ward for 3 days. The staff immediatly put her at ease and made her feel much better. After spending the night on a drip they started to encourage her to eat after 24 hours. She needed antibiotics through her drip for a few days but she never felt scared of anything while she was here. the nursing staff were excellent with children and she especially loved the play area. The food was pretty good and the ward spotless.
What could be improved
car parking could be cheaper.
