Unfortunately on 23/06/15 I needed to visit urgent care unit with my 3 year old son. He cracked his forehead open. Receptionist told us that we are on the top of the list to be seen. My son was very distress , so was I. He was bleeding yet no one came to see us. We have been seen after almost 1.5 h wait ! I have been told that my son needs stiching and he needs to be transferred to children hospital by ambulance. I was told not to drive with him by my self as this could be dangerous for my son. After some ttime the staff got involved to do other things and another person told me that I can take my son and drive by myself to children hospital. My son health was the most important so I took him quickly to children's hospital. Not even though about what consequences that could have. No advice or nothing from the staff at Hengrove Urgent Centre. Thankfully my son received a treatment at children hospital and hopefully he will be back to his health soon. I am very disappointed by visiting Hengrove urgent unit. I was very distress as was my son and he needed immediate medical attention. We have been not given the help we would hoped for. I wish that someone could treat us as we deserved. Very disappointed.
"Urgent care unit not so urgent!"
