I was referred to the T.I.A. Clinic by my G.P. yesterday morning, about an hour later I had a `phone call from a nurse offering me an appointment at 12:30 yesterday. I arrived slightly early and was seen by The Consultant straight away. The consultant was extremely pleasant and professional, I had an ECG done along with other tests, I was sent for an Ultra-sound of my Carotid arteries. I then returned to the clinic where I was seen by the Consultant again and advised I had been booked in for an M.R.I scan at 16:00 as there had been a cancellation, I was taken to the x-ray dept by the nurse and booked in, they were clearly very busy, after I had waited for around 45 minutes, the nurse reappeared and informed me that there were 3 or 4 people in front of me so they had arranged with The Bristol Heart Institute for me to be scanned there as they could "fit" me in a little earlier. Once again the nurse took me to the dept. and booked me in, they also informed me that the Consultant was going to wait for my results and would see me on my return from the M.R.I. On my return I was thankfully informed that there was no evidence of Cerebral bleed. I can honestly say I could not have had better treatment both as a patient but also as a customer, your staff are a real credit to the hospital and indeed The N.H.S., please pass on my thanks to them all, and I would be more than happy for you to use my feed back in the media, as I know generally people only write in to complain. Kind regards, Nick Sadler.
