My dad has recently been discharged from A5 after having an operation to remove a brain tumour. All staff we spoke to around the hospital were friendly and helpful, and the hospital clean with plenty of places to clean hands, which we constantly saw staff doing. The surgeons did an absolutely fantastic job of removing all the tumour and words cannot express how grateful my family and I are for their tremendous work. All the nurses on the ward were friendly, helpful, professional and were constantly monitoring my dad and checking he was comfortable. They really cared for him and we were always updated and informed of what was happening. Hospital food has a bad reputation, but everything I saw, looked and smelt nice with no complaints from my dad. My dad was constantly being offered drinks, hot and cold and we were very impressed with the selection of food and drink. I hope my family and I never have to experience this last month again, but the staff at addenbrookes made a hideous situation bearable and we will always be very grateful to them.
"Cannot speak highly enough of addenbrookes"
