"super service"

About: Christchurch Hospital

My daughter aged 22 had a blood test this Monday morning. Unfortunately, she is very averse to needles and was very worried about .the whole thing. We arrived in the department at around 9.20 and were no6 in the non existent queue, The nurse came out and called us to their station, they could not have been kinder or shown more empathy ,a few minutes later all done and my daughter remarked how much better it had been than a couple of visits in the past. Thank you, very good job done.

Dear Anonymous I am pleased to hear that your daughter’s worries were allayed by the pathology team at Christchurch. We receive a number of comments about the speed and professionalism of the service there and I will be sure to pass on your kind comments to them. It was good to know that the team showed empathy towards your daughter’s aversion to needles and I am sure that your posting will help others who have similar fears to feel less anxious when attending for blood tests in the future so thank you very much for taking the time to share. Regards Sue Mellor Head of Patient Engagement
