My Mum was rushed to A&E on 01/06/2015 with suspected atrial fibrilation.. Her care from the moment we arrived at A&E to her discharge from the Corony Unit 3 days later was of an extremely high standard across all areas. Staff at all levels were polite, considerate and the care provided by the nurses was very caring and sympathetic - nothing was too much trouble for them. Knowing my Mum was in the care of such great staff made it easier for me to continue with the responsibilites of my life with very little interruption. The corony unit had individual rooms with modern equipment - no difference to private wards I have visited. Even the Acute Emergency Unit in A&E where my Mum had to spend her first night was comfortable and the staff were constantly checking on all patients and enquiring if there was anything needed. My Mum was previously very apprehensive of a stay in hospital but now after the wonderful care she received (and her medical problem resolved with medication) she is no longer afraid. Well done everyone and a big Thank You from a very appreciative Mum and daughter.
