"Kind, compassionate, excellent level of care"

About: Leicester General Hospital

Every single person I came into contact with treated my husband and I with the utmost dignity and respect. I can't thank the staff enough for their professionalism, compassion and kindness. I have a completely new found admiration for the maternity staff at the birth centre and beyond. A better level of care could not have been provided even if we had paid thousands to give birth privately. These people really deserve some sort of recognition by the Trust for all they do; giving beyond their job role in acts of care and love. I have never experienced anything like it. Thank you!!!

Dear Emma, Thank you for sharing your birthing experience with us, we are delighted to hear that the team made it as special for you as they could with their kind and compassionate care. I am due to give birth with my first at LGH myself in a few weeks, so this has instilled even more confidence in my forthcoming experience too! I have passed your lovely words onto the head of midwifery and senior midwife at the General to share with the wider maternity team. If you would like to do something to recognise this, you can nominate an individual or the whole team for a Caring at its Best award via our website http://www.leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/aboutus/our-purpose-strategy-and-values/caring-at-its-best-awards/public-nomination-form/ Best wishes Laura Mort Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
