About: Russells Hall Hospital

My dad was recently(May 2015) in on C1 and had home leave via renal unit His care was excellent from ward manager,lead nurse ,staff nurses ,physio,OT,CSW,Students,housekeepers and Drs He was very frail and his mobility needs varied during his stay .At one time he became confused and disorientatedand the team responded quickly to his changing needs.He was treated with respect and dignity . The team also tolerated our constant stream of questions /interuptions and helped us greatly with his discharge plans I am happy to report although not "out of the woods" is much better at home and improving Thank you to the whole team who were involved

We aim to offer the highest standards of care and best possible experience while patients are in our care. It is lovely to hear how pleased you were with your dad’s care and treatment and that he was kept as comfortable as possible. Keeping our patients fully involved and informed during their stay is really important and we are pleased you felt able to ask as many questions as you needed to, and that our staff helped you so much organising your dad’s discharge. We have passed your comments and thanks on to all the teams involved in your dad’s care.
