the hospital looked very clean.

What could be improved

we had to collect patient who had knee surgery that afternoon. he was unable to put weight on that leg, we asked if there were crutches or a wheelchair and were told no.no-one offered a solution so we went from 4th floor down to reception to find a wheelchair. it was nearly 9pm no-one about and we are both oaps. meanwhile the patient hopped to the lift with his pregnant wife. why no wheelchairs on beckett ward? why not charge a deposit so that you make sure they are returned if that is the reason for the shortage. if the patient had fallen he could have broken his leg or done more damage to his knee. i think this is a ridiculous state of affairs! where was the care?

minimum charge for car parking very high. at stoke mandeville hosp. £1 for an hour. and they don't worry too much if you can't get out to top up.
