"Stage 1 : chemotherapy"

About: North Devon District Hospital

Todays first appointment to the Seymour ward was with Trepidation a newly found friend of the last 4 weeks in hospital and A&E they were put to rest ,the Seymour unit is a credit to the NHS. I was blown away with the cleanliness and technology and above all the staff were beyond approach for there empathy and first hand knowledge of what they were doing as part of a team, I cannot praise this ward enough, I look forward to my next session on Friday next without my friend Trepidation I feel more comfortable with my cancer than I did yesterday. thank you very much Seymour ward.

Thank you for taking the time to post your very positive comments on the website regarding the new chemotherapy unit " Seymour unit" at NDDH.

I was very pleased to note your first treatment went so well and that you were treated with such empathy and care, which is especially important at such an anxious time for you.

We are very proud of your new unit, as a great deal of hard work from both staff and the people of North Devon went in to making it happen, which makes your feedback even more gratifying.

I have shared your kind comments with the Service Manager where I know they will be warmly reiceved, and shared with the Seymore unit staff.

I wish you all the best for your future treatment.
