I was treated with courtesy and friendliness by the receptionist, who kept me fully informed, warning that my appointment might be slightly delayed; such interaction in the NHS is rare in my experience. In the event there was no delay. The consultant was also very friendly but at the same time highly professional. The consultant explained in easy to understand language what was involved in the tests they performed and afterwards explained what they had found (again, not always the case in the NHS); the consultant also gave me a written copy of their findings. I have in the past never been less than satisfied with my treatment at St Peter's, but I rank this consultation the best yet. My only complaint is the general shabbiness of The Ramp, which created an entirely false impression of what I would experience in the department.
