We are sorry to hear of your father's experience. Our Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the region however we can appreciate how distressing the delay must have been for him and also for you and would like to apologise. It would be good to be able to look into this case to understand why there were delays and look at where it may be possible to improve things for future patients. If you are willing to discuss this further, could you please contact the Help and Advice Service, using the details below, who will liaise with the Directorate Manager for the Emergency Department. Email: Helpandadviceservice@chsft.nhs.uk Telephone: 0191 569 9855 or freephone 08005876513 Opening times: Monday – Friday 8 am – 5pm
