"When things go wrong, they have people who really..."

About: University Hospital Lewisham

I had awful probs getting something sorted. Got totally bounced from pillar to post with each person saying something different. Bless them, they were all trying but "too many cooks spoil the broth" is true and everyone making a drama out of things or gave me wrong information. Which just made it go from bad to worse. The more I tried to explain what the problem was and get someone to take me seriously to explain it, the more people ramped it up to someone higher needlessly with promises of callbacks that never happened. Was going to ring my GP and get them to refer me to another hospital which would mean going back to the back of the queue for something that wasn't my fault. Finally a friend suggested I call their Pals team before i gave up. I rang them and spoke to a really helpful person who was able to explain things to me without all the need for fuss and explanation. They then promised to speak to the right people and call me back which actually did too. Something other people there seemed to find impossible to stick to their promises of. Our ailing NHS cant cope under the strains put on it by our Government, its not always their fault, they do their best. But its good that when things go wrong, they have senior people who know their stuff and treat you like a person.
