"Excellent care"

Dear Linda, Thank you so much for your review of care on ward 12. Can I firstly offer my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Mum ? It is exceptionally kind of you to take the time to give any feedback at all during such a painful and difficult period. I do feel incredibly proud of our staff and their commitment to continually improve and provide service of the highest standards at all times. It is lovely to hear you describe the care that your Mum received as exceptional. I can understand why it was so important to you that her dignity was always prioritised. Your kind words have enabled me to fully appreciate just how much these standards of care mean to patients and their families at the end of life. Thank you. Our part in delivering healthcare comes, I believe, with a very special privilege to be with people at such critical moments in their lives, including those times when they are at their most sick, frightened and vulnerable. I was delighted to read about the kind and gentle care that you and your Mum both received whilst on ward 12, and the impact of those special staff who understand the importance of the ‘human touch’.
