i was really dissappointed having waitied for an appointment for a few months to get to the hospital and them tell me that the intire clinic was cancelled. I dont know if this is a regular occurance, but it has had a large negative impact on my life, and i am dissappointed that they didnt inform me prior to the appointment seeing as i came from essex.

It is extremely rare for an entire clinic to be cancelled and even more so for patients not to be informed - even by phone on the same day if something highly unusual has happened, such as the consultant falling suddenly unwell. The vast majority of our patients have few problems and get to see their doctor or nurse on time.

We don't know what happened on this occasion, but we would like to investigate it on your behalf. If nothing else, you deserve a formal apology for the inconvenience and upset that this has caused.
