"Admitted to surgical assesment unit"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

I was admitted to RHH with a severe gallstone attack. The nursing staff were fantastic on the ward i was on. There is one issue that made me cross and that was not being told what was going on. I knew the reason i was there( as i have suffered with gallstones for a few months) but after seeing one doctor, who was fab and explained everything, i then went on to be kept in the dark about what was happening with me and my treatment for 24 hours. I was also told at 2pm that i would be discharged, and wasnt able to leave until 7pm due to being told several opposing things. More communication would have been great and everyone saying the same thing would also would have helped.
