I attended RPH delivery suite July 2014 with bleeding, was treated well on the first occasion, was checked over and baby was monitored (was a week over due). Midwife asked how I was coping with pain, said I was ok.
Midwife told me to come back if I couldn't cope any longer. 2-3 hours later I couldn't cope as I was bending over in agony, we was kept waiting for 45 minutes as staff seemed too busy! Was then seen by a different midwife who didn't believe a word I was saying i felt or the fact I was in agony! The midwife did not even monitor my baby nor my contractions, I was told to go home as I was x-cm dilated. I suffered all through the next day and night in agony with no sleep, I rang up in extreme pain (active labour), the midwife said, they remembered me and If there was no change they will be sending me straight back home again! And that i was breathing far too fast!
The midwife made me feel that me and my unborn child was unimportant and inferior.
I was forced to have my baby at home without any medical help nor pain relief.
My partner delivered our child.
This healthy baby could of been so much of a different story! ! I was taken into RPH by ambulance afterwards because my baby's temp dropped, another person told me i was meant to be induced that night I went in(but got sent home) but didn't due to them being so busy! I am pregnant again, I refuse to now be treated at Preston for the fear of being treated like that again. I was also high risk due to my blood pressure! ! Disgusting practice i feel.
