"I came into hospital pregnant ..."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

(as the patient),

What I liked

I came into hospital pregnant with loss of vision in one eye; my blood pressure was also high. they put me under observation and ran tests to be sure I was not coming up with pre-eclampsia.

I was able to see the eye doctor on the same day i was admitted.

What could be improved

Opthamologist said i woud be seen in a week's time and that the letter will be in the post. it's now getting to 2weeks and there has been no letter.

Anything else?

I am worried that no appointment has been made and am just waiting in vain!

While we were pleased to see that you were seen and treated promptly, we are concerned that the promised follow-up has yet to happen. Assuming that you have not heard from us already, may we suggest that you contact us with your full details (name, address and date of birth), which you should send through to us using our general enquiries e-mail service (generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net). If you also include that date of when you came in to the QEII and the name of the doctor who saw you, this will help speed up the handling of your query.
