I went into early spontaneous labour early on Sunday morning and was told to go into Aberdeen maternity hospital. Upon arrival I was admitted to the labour ward and met by My assigned midwife Corinne Mackie. What a lovely lady who talked both myself and my husband through everything. Things took a turn for the worse and resulted in an emergency Caesarian and after a lot of trauma and assistance and support from Corinne for both myself and my husband we were met by fantastic consultants, surgeons, anaesthetists, midwives, auxiliaries, porters etc.
we were in surgery for 3 hours and lost a lot of blood but the whole way through the team supported my husband and myself in both surgery, the recovery ward and later on the summerfield ward.
My baby was a bit distressed and was admitted briefly to the neonatal unit the support we got from then on both his care and breast feeding etc was impeccable and we will forever be indebted to the staff who looked after our family.
Keep up the good work and I hope you are recognised for the care provided
"Forever indebted to the staff"
