(as a service user),

I have been receiving care for about 18 months following a spell in hospital. Whilst there I needed to use a Zimmer frame to get around and I was assessed as needing one when I returned home. In the early days I had a carer who came in every day but I am now able to do more for myself and she now comes just twice a week. I could not fault her at all, she is very good and feel very fortunate that I get the same carer all the time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences of Elite Care with Care Opinion and the wider community. It is very encouraging that we have been able to provide you with the continuity of carer over a lengthy period of time. Seeing the same carer each week can be very comforting for the client as the carer has the level of awareness around the support required and how it should be delivered without having to constantly ask the client the same questions repeatedly.

Through reading your story it appears that we have supported and encouraged your independence through a period of rehabilitation. To be able to reduce your support from daily to twice weekly is very encouraging and I hope that for as long as you require support at home Elite Care can continue to provide the high level of support you have been receiving.
