"Delivery of medication"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary

My hip replacement became infected after 3 weeks and required further invasive surgery to replace some parts and remove infected tissue.. I was prescribed 4 x daily I.V. and 2 x daily oral antibiotics and daily anti coagulation injections plus pain killers and a sleeping tablet. In over 2 weeks since admission I have missed several doses of I.V. and one oral, I have missed doses of anti coagulant despite mentioning it's lateness to the day and night shifts. if 3 doses were enough I wouldn't have been prescribed 4 surely! My wound feels tight and sore and no one seems concerned. The day to day nursing staff are rushed off their feet as seem to be the doctors on duty. However, my concern is my welfare and the consequences of this hip infection taking a hold again. Just explained all my concerns about missing the 12pm I.V. and still having no way to deliver the 6pm I.V. to the duty Doctor, their response 'Oh dear!' Scared, upset and frustrated beyond belief.
