What I liked

What could be improved
If I had to be pick then there are obviously problems that could be addressed, things like helping people to and from bathroom, medication on time and similar things etc.
(However, we all know that the hospital is understaffed at times and that just cant be helped, the nurses can only be in so many places at once)
Anything else?
After beinging in and out of the QE2 most of my childhood/teenage years for several knee operations and having two children at the hospital I have seen many wards and many clinics at the hospital.
My most recant experance was when i feel down the stairs and locked my knee-cap into place. I was admitted for surgery to discover the reason behind the problem.
I was taking in and then they couldnt operate, so I was allowed home that night as I wanted to be home with my children. Went back next day and waited all day nil by mouth, but unfortuantly, wasnt until the evening they came to tell me they couldnt operate, as they had had too many emergancy! (what more can I say to that! anyone that would be annoyed by that doesnt have a heart!)
I was operated on the next day as promised, service was great.
I can not fault any of the service at the QE2, yes more could be done to keep you informed from time to time, and yes i have blood samples lost etc, which at the time is fustrating. However, in May 2007 i gave birth to my baby boy, who after a struggle got his shoulders stuck in delievery and started to get into trouble. I owe the midwifes and doctors everything I have as they saved my little boys life that day.
My husband had to pull the emergancy button and within 10sec I had 5 doctors etc at the end of the bed getting my little boy out!!!
For everybody that complains that the treatment is poor, all i can say is most of the time the reason they are not there helping you is because they are dealing with someone who is in more need. You just need to be thankful that your not that person, if they had been dealing with somebody, talking blood or something similar that could have waited i would have lost my baby! Simple as! The nurses and doctors do the best they can, they can only do so much at a time, maybe we all just need to be more paitent at times, however fustrating it may be at the time.
Great job everyone!
