"Insuffiecient Pain Relief at Selly Oak"

(as the patient),

i was admitted to selly oak hospital after rta on m62. i am still a patient on ward s3, previously on intensive care ward, also s5. On ward s3 i am not completly satisfied in the manner and poor passage of information between staff when it comes to patients request for analgesia, being made to wait till after the drug ward round when a patient requires pain relief up to 1hour before the drug round has started, there are many other cases i could had but would appreciate this matter be dealt with before things get worse.

Thanks for your story. It sounds like you are having a hard time. Pain management is a difficult thing. At the end you asked if Patient Opinion can deal with this - probably the best way to do this is not through us, but at the PALS office at Selly Oak or phone 0121 627 8820.
